From Jesus and deafness to lesbian relationships and sex, it’s all on the table in this hysterical look at life in today’s world
LOS ANGELES. Jan. 3, 2019 – Six of the hottest up-and-coming female comedians give no-holds-barred performances of inclusive and diverse stand-up comedy in “Everything is Fine!,” a live comedy special available exclusively on Seed&Spark, a streaming subscription service and crowdfunding site that emphasizes diversity and inclusion.
The 68-minute comedy special includes live performances from Lianna Carrera, Katrina Davis, Amelia Harris, Leah Rudick, Riley Silverman and host Heather Turman. Also available on Seed&Spark are six mini-documentary episodes giving an exclusive, up-close-and-personal backstage look at each of the comedians. “Everything is Fine!” can be streamed at http://www.seedandspark.com/fine.
“Everything is Fine!” was co-directed by Emmy nominated director-producer-writer Xan Aranda (“Room 104,” “Blue Jay”) with a majority female crew.
“We sought to feature the voices that need to be heard at a time when stand-up comedy is being redefined and comedians are rethinking their routines,” said Emily Best, CEO of Seed&Spark and co-director/producer of “Everything is Fine!” “These comics come to the stage with perspectives that have been long been missing from stand-up comedy which has always been an effective and powerful platform to not only entertain audiences, but also offer insight and perspective that can change how others think.”
The performances were filmed live at Dynasty Typewriter, a venue for highly curated live entertainment and comedy events, located at the Hayworth Theatre in Los Angeles. The venue is a place where comedians and other artists can experiment with new immersive show formats, do engaging live podcasts and have the opportunity to bring more production and theatricality to their acts.
